If you are a business interested in e-business or accountants, you may want to contact Warren Township High School students who participated in the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference held recently in Chicago, Illinois.

 

FBLA members from Warren who advanced to the national event after success at the state competition brought home top 10 placements in several areas, including e-business, accounting and community service. The national conference, held in a major American city each year, is designed to conclude a year of activities as well as set the stage for the new school year. Those who attend participate in competitive events, tour business and corporate facilities, elect national officers, and attend business-related and leadership workshops.

Elected National Vice President from the North Central Region was Warren FBLA Co-President Gia Katsoolias. Also, Warren FBLA member Amanda Bobel received national recognition as Who’s Who in FBLA from Illinois and Warren received recognition for being the largest local chapter.  

The following Warren students placed in the top 10 of events held:  Mike Shaffer and Mike Brousseau, 3rd place in Virtual Business Challenge; Amanda Bobel and Andrew Schroeder, 5th place in Annual Business Report; and Matt Kalinowski, Laura Hahn and Josh Peters, 3rd place in E-Business; Matt Rosenberg, 10th place in Accounting I; Mike Verasamy, 6th place in Accounting II; Jenni Salisbury, Olivia Martinez and Mary Beth Dolan, 3rd place in Community Service Project; and Andrew Schroeder, 6th place in Future Business Leader.

 

Warren FBLA members competed against more than 7,300 representatives from states across the country and abroad. The competition is part of a series of events sponsored annually by the FBLA-PBL. Individuals, local chapters and state teams compete in more than 50 events representing a range of leading edge business, career and leadership development activities.

 

Other national finalists from Warren are: Colin DeMatteis, Keith DeSormey and Matt Sturgeon, Global Business, Samarth Rejendra, Navin Agarwal, Business Plan;, Julaine Thompson, Spreadsheet Design; Rammya Rajan, FBLA Principles & Procedures; Kevin Mason, Konrad Siczek, and Rachel Gradner, Business Ethics; Megan Wodek, Ryan Muzik, and Jimmy Vara, Management Decision Making; Chris Hill, Chris Schall, and Scott Dale, Entrepreneurship; Pavan Gupta, Intro to Parliamentary Procedures; Dallas Harty, Charles Martin, Sylvia Chrzanowski, Tim Wiseman, Parliamentary Procedures;  Jenny Wiseman, Intro to Business Communication; Jilly Gokalgandhi, Public Speaking I; Samantha Satzger, Public Speaking II; Kalpita Ainapure, Christene Narikkattu, and Tom Brousseau, Multimedia Presentation; and Lindsay Losch, Digital Video.
