Warren Township High School Theatre will open its 2007-2008 theatre season with the production of the comedy Jerry Finnegan’s Sister at 7 p.m. on September 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. on September 16, in the Black Box Theatre at the Almond Campus.
Jerry Finnegan’s Sister is a coming-of-age story that follows a group of friends from kindergarten through college. Brian Dowd has been in love with the girl next door since first grade, but he just can’t find the words to tell her so. As the two grow from small children to young adults, they are surrounded by a cast of playmates and friends who watch the relationship develop and wonder if Brian will ever be able to tell Beth how he really feels. Sam Senter plays Brian Dowd, Liz Dana plays Beth Finnegan, and Chris McCarthy, Caroline Rund, Josh Poucher, Jamie Gray, Christina Dana, Emma Rodbro, Vivian McBride, and Briana Jordan make up the supporting cast.
Jerry Finnegan’s Sister is directed by theatre teacher Sarah Brandt, with assistance from Samantha May and Jessica Goldberg. Tickets are available at the door. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
