Late Starts – 2012/2013

For the 2012-2013 school year, Warren Township High School has expanded the number of late starts it will use. Each late start will be 2 hours later than our normal start. These days will be used for staff to engage in a number of professional activities to continue advancing our school in the following areas:

• Common Core Standards
• Vertically align curriculum
• Essential Core Skills for student mastery in each course
• Using best researched practices to engage student learning
• Professional Learning Teams to analyze student data and performance
• Incorporating interventions to help struggling students

We believe that these late start days are essential to the continuing improvement we have seen at WTHS in recent years. These work hours will allow us to plan for the future and continue to make improvements in our curriculum.
