Band Camp 2013 information now available

Band Camp is July 22-26 - Every band student (not out of town) is expected to attend.

There will be (2) "pre-camp" rehearsals at O'Plaine:

  • July 10, 6:00pm-9:00pm. 
  • July 17, 6:00pm-9:00pm

(please note that in some of the camp information there was a typo referring to July 19.  There is no practice on July 19.)

Click here for a form to enter your contact information Although the students are your first, best source of information any band booster news or important schedule information will be emailed to the entire band list.  Please also visit the District calendar and create your own login there.  You will be able to "follow" many different groups within the school (including band) and you can choose to be notified immediately if schedule changes occur.  It's a great tool!

Whether you’re in band or just a “band fan” this new design will look great either in the bleachers or on the practice field.  See the order form for special printing options.  These will be great to have in Orlando!

Please order your new sweatshirts quickly!  Pricing is based upon minimum order requirements and we'll place more orders as they come (in batches of 25 or so).  To order PRINT THIS FORM, complete one form for each hoodie and return the completed form(s) along with payment to your band director or Mrs. Rutkowski.  Please contact Kathie Rutkowski with any questions!

Important information regarding absence or tardiness for rehearsals and performances (conflict policy)

If you will miss or be late to any rehearsals or performances (including football games), a PARENT or GUARDIAN must call (847)599-4633 and leave a voicemail at least 48 hours prior to your conflict (the band event that you will be missing). If you have multiple or repeating conflicts you only need to call and leave one message explaining the ongoing nature of the conflicts.  You must leave a call-back number so we can reach you with any questions or concerns.  No emails to the directors and no students calling in their own conflicts.

 

The Conflict Policy includes instructions on how to report an event conflict  and what qualifies as excused absences.  Remember that except for emergencies any expected absences from practices or performances must be reported and approved at least two days prior to the event being missed.
